Hi Teshia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into event and floral design started with a natural love for creating beautiful spaces for people to celebrate life’s special moments. What began with small events quickly grew into a passion for designing experiences through florals and décor.
Over time, I built my brand, H&S Designs, specializing in floral and event design. As my work continued to grow, my sister and I expanded our vision and opened Top Tier Venue, creating a space where clients can host special celebrations.
Today, I focus on designing elevated, memorable events that reflect each client’s unique story, and I’m grateful to turn creativity and passion into meaningful experiences for others
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many full-time entrepreneurs, there have been challenges along the way especially learning how to grow a business while still staying creative.
There were also moments of trial and error while building my brand and establishing myself in a competitive market. But those experiences helped me grow, refine my processes, and become more confident in my work.
Looking back, every challenge played a role in shaping the designer and business owner I am today.

H&S Designs is a floral and event design company specializing in weddings and special celebrations. We focus on creating elevated, intentional designs that transform spaces and bring each client’s vision to life through florals and thoughtful details.
We’re known for our attention to detail and our ability to create beautiful, memorable experiences that feel personal to each client.
Also I’m co-owner of The Top Tier Venue located in the heart of Cordova. It’s an event space where you can host any type of event and add on decor from H&S Designs.
I’m most proud of building a brand rooted in creativity, growth, and creating meaningful celebrations people will always remember.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Attention to detail is one of the qualities that has helped my business grow. In the event and wedding industry, the smallest details can make the biggest impact. I take pride in making sure every design element feels thoughtful, cohesive, and elevated.
