Community Highlights: Meet Tammie Polk of Color For Cash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammie Polk.

Hi Tammie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Color For Cash started out as a complete God idea from my accountability coach, Leslie Wright. She reached out to me about starting to teach classes where busy creatives, women, and moms could create, market, and sell Kingdom-custom coloring books. I smiled because, at the time, she didn’t know that I had been creating coloring books since the pandemic of 2020. She got excited, sharing her vision with me and we started teaching classes a month later on July 26, 2025. It was a amazing because the success stories were coming in super fast. With the method that we taught, we watched women start earning three to five figures using the strategies we teach in class about marketing and selling the coloring book. By December 2025, between student success stories and what we made from 1:1 and tag team coaching, we made over $25k.

We saw women pay off debt, pay for cancer treatments, raise money for cheerleading, pay for senior year expenses, and more — all from a simple coloring book….

It’s amazing how it all came to be!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
A smooth road? No….

We both had personal challenges that laid us out — deaths, illness, and more, yet our community has been amazing and gone through it with us.

We had times when people tried to take what we taught and make it what they wanted it to be instead of how we laid it out. We had classes where no one signed up at all, signed up and didn’t come, and more.

We partnered with people who did us wrong in ways that stress us out to talk about, and then technology is always going to throw a monkey wrench into things….

We poured and poured our hearts and souls into each class and follow-up session and, when we saw some not even trying, we had those “Did we not teach that” moments. We were even going back and watching our own replays to make sure we weren’t crazy!

Despite the struggles, we have been able to build a community of go-getters who are serious about taking what we’ve taught and making it work!

As you know, we’re big fans of Color For Cash. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
What sets Color For Cash apart is that we don’t simply talk at you and expect you to take off running. No…. In our classes, we work alongside you and are with you every step of the way. In our classes, we go through the creation of the coloring book step by step, as well as the marketing. We give them the tips, tools, and strategies they need to make money before they even leave class!

For us, this is more than just a coloring book. To date, we have had a student to cross the $10k mark by following the process that we’ve taught.

More than that, we are healing hearts and minds through coloring, letting our students know that coloring reduces stress and cardiovascular issues. We are also teaching generational wealth because what we teach is literally something a child can do with the right guidance. Both Leslie and I have children and our children have coloring books, too!

It has truly been an amazing experience.

What we have coming up is our courses and Tour. Each stop on our Tour is an essential one and geared towards helping women to, again, relieve stress, build an additional stream of income, and build a legacy. We’re kicking off the Tour right here in Memphis, TN on May 2nd, 2026 and can’t wait to have everyone in the room. We’ll be traveling from May through late October and we’re excited!
