Hi Tinelle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into the beauty industry didn’t begin with a lifelong dream of doing hair—it actually started with a firm decision *not* to. My Passion was Makeup and I wanted to be a full time Makeup Artist, But life as a way of Redirecting purpose.
Faux Loc Extensions was a go to style I loved doing on myself whenever i felt like styling my hair, it was never an idea to style others. One day, during a casual visit to a beauty supply store, a worker admired my hair and asked who styled it. In a moment I now describe as purely being “in a good mood” I made a spontaneous offer to do her hair if she wanted me to and she said Yes.
That one decision sparked something unexpected.
At the time I was working Full Time at a Warehouse, thinking that’s where I was gone retired, but i started having issues with New Management and They Demoted me from my position. Because I wasn’t willing to go back and work on a Line. I decided to immediately take my 2 weeks vacation and Decided I would try to built clientele doing hair and DoorDash to make ends meet if I needed to.
Taking that leap wasn’t easy. Leaving behind the stability of a traditional job came with fear and uncertainty, but I leaned into faith. I left my Job In March 2021. I was immediately Booked And Busy by April. I didn’t know anybody. I was new. But somehow, everything just started happening. I never had to pick up a side job. I never had to leave the house. My business sustained me from the start.
Now, five years later, I have built a thriving career specializing in Faux Loc Extensions through my brand, T’Xplicit Glam.
Recently, I made a bold investment into a full rebrand—something I felt was necessary to stand out in a saturated beauty industry.
“I wanted to look like what I charge. I wanted my brand to feel like luxury.”
Unable to find what I was looking for locally, I took matters into her own hands and sought expertise elsewhere, investing both time and money into refining my brand identity.
The result was transformative—not just visually, but mentally.
I learned so much about branding, positioning, and presentation. It changed how I see my business completely.
That transformation sparked a bigger purpose.
I began noticing a gap in my industry—talented beauty professionals who lacked strong branding.
There are so many people with amazing talent, even better than mine, but their branding doesn’t reflect it. People don’t know who they are or what they represent.
Determined to bridge that gap, I invested further into education, studying graphic design, business strategy, and brand development.
Now, Im turning that knowledge into a new venture.
March 31st, I officially launched T’Xplicit Brand Lab, a platform dedicated to helping beauty professionals and service-based entrepreneurs elevate their brand presence.
My goal is to help people look like what they charge—or what they want to charge. Your brand should speak before you even say a word.
Through my new business, I aim to empower others to present themselves at a higher level, attract better clients, and ultimately increase their income.
My story is one of faith, bold decisions, and unexpected opportunity. What started as a random moment in a beauty supply store has grown into a five-year career—and now, a multi-layered brand with a mission to uplift others.
I never planned this, But everything happened exactly how it was supposed to.
And if my journey proves anything, it’s that sometimes the path you never intended to take becomes the one that changes your life completely.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No It hasn’t been a smooth road, in the beginning my struggle was balancing time between my building my new business, being a wife, and making time for my stuff. It took me 5 years to get structure in my work schedule and make time for me and my family. I had no boundaries, I would work all day, now i try to do 1 head a day and be home by 6.

I specialize in Natural Faux Locs Extensions, I have a start called T’Glam Locs that gives off a Realistic loc texture that most can’t tell it’s not real.
