Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaquille Fuller.
Hi Shaquille, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started over 15 years ago with a simple passion for capturing moments. What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into something much bigger as I realized the power photography has—not just to document life, but to shape how people and brands are seen and remembered.
I founded Kre8ions, LLC in 2016 to turn that passion into a full-scale creative business. Over time, I expanded beyond photography into videography and content creation, working with individuals, families, and brands to bring their visions to life. My work evolved from simply taking photos to helping businesses strategically tell their stories through visual content.
At the same time, I’ve built a career in IT project management, where I’m now completing my Doctor of Information Technology. That dual perspective—combining creativity with structure and strategy—has played a huge role in how I approach my business today. I don’t just create visuals; I think about impact, efficiency, and how content fits into a bigger picture.
Today, Kre8ions Photography Studio in Collierville serves as both a creative hub and a community space. We offer everything from professional photography and video services to studio rentals and unique experiences, such as photo parties and themed events.
Where I am now is really the result of consistency, reinvestment, and a willingness to evolve. I’ve learned how to blend art with business, creativity with strategy—and that’s what continues to push Kre8ions forward.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road—and honestly, I don’t think it’s supposed to be.
Like many entrepreneurs, one of the biggest challenges has been navigating the business side of creativity. Early on, I had to learn—sometimes the hard way—about pricing my work properly, setting boundaries, and ensuring partnerships and contracts aligned with how I operate. Not every opportunity is the right opportunity, and that’s something experience teaches you.
There have also been financial pressures that come with building something from the ground up—investing in equipment, securing and maintaining a studio space, and dealing with inconsistent cash flow at times. Those are real challenges that don’t always get talked about.
Another struggle has been balance. I’ve been building Kre8ions while also advancing my career in IT project management and working toward my doctorate. Managing all of that requires discipline, time management, and sometimes making tough decisions about where to focus my energy.
I’ve also had to navigate situations where things didn’t go as planned—whether it was delayed payments, misaligned partnerships, or projects that didn’t fully meet expectations. But each of those moments forced me to refine my processes, tighten my business structure, and become more intentional about how I move.
At the end of the day, the challenges have been just as important as the wins. They’ve shaped how I lead, how I create, and how I run my business today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Kre8ions is a full-service creative studio built around one core idea: helping people and brands show up with purpose and impact. While we’re widely known for photography, we’ve grown into a multi-dimensional content creation company offering photography, videography, and strategic visual branding.
At our studio in Collierville, we serve a wide range of clients—from families and individuals to entrepreneurs and established businesses. On the surface, we capture images and video, but at a deeper level, we help tell stories, build brands, and create content that actually works.
What sets Kre8ions apart is the blend of creativity and strategy. My background in IT project management and my doctoral work in technology and AI allow me to approach content differently. We don’t just create visuals—we think about how those visuals are used, how they perform, and how they support a larger goal. Whether it’s branding content, event coverage, or studio sessions, there’s always an intention behind what we produce.
We’re also known for creating experiences, not just services. From in-studio photo parties to seasonal events and creative sessions, we’ve built a space where people can engage with photography in a fun, memorable, and accessible way.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is building something that’s both professional and community-driven. Kre8ions has become more than a service provider—it’s a creative hub. We collaborate, support other creatives, and provide opportunities for photographers and content creators through studio rentals and flexible service options.
I want readers to know that Kre8ions is built on quality, consistency, and evolution. We’re always refining, always growing, and always looking for new ways to bring value to our clients. If you’re looking for more than just photos—if you’re looking for a partner in how you present yourself or your brand—that’s where we come in.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One thing that might surprise people is how strategic I am—and at the same time, how much of a jack of all trades I’ve become.
People usually see the final product, but behind the scenes, I’m thinking through every detail of the experience. It’s not just about taking great photos—it’s about how people feel when they walk into the studio, how the session flows, and what makes it memorable.
A big part of that experience is something a lot of people don’t expect—I DJ as well. So the music in the studio isn’t random; it’s curated. I read the room, match the energy, and create a vibe that makes people comfortable, confident, and fully in the moment. It turns a typical session into something people actually enjoy.
Because of that, it’s pretty common for clients not to want to leave once their session is over. It becomes more than just a photoshoot—it feels like an experience.
That blend of strategy, creativity, and atmosphere is a big part of what makes Kre8ions different. It’s not just about what we capture, it’s about how we make people feel while we’re capturing it.
