Hi Felicia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I had the vision for Super Weaves eleven years ago and finally decided to leave my high-profile Hollywood career and lifestyle behind to follow my dream and moved across the country from Los Angeles, CA to Memphis, TN to pursue my dream and open Super Weaves.
The move across the country came with a lot of hard work, fear, and sacrifice. It was scary and a huge culture shock. It took years to find what we considered the “right location” for the brick and mortar, but we finally found it and eleven years later Super Weaves is officially open for business.
Super Weaves offers top-of-the-line premium human hair extensions as well as hair extension salon services.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Introducing Super Weaves to the world has not been as easy as we thought it would be. You would think with social media, it would be pretty much as easy as making a few posts to promote our new store to the community but we’re competing within a very saturated market.
However – we set ourselves apart from the competition by offering superior customer service, taking pride in our work, and offering top-quality hair and salon services at affordable prices.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
In addition to owning and operating Super Weaves, I am also an event curator and produce high-profile, red-carpet, star-studded events across the country such as Memphis black Fashion Week and The Bishop’s Ball which is coming up on February 10, 2023.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I’ve learned a few valuable lessons along the way and as cliché as it sounds, never give up on your dreams no matter how long it takes for you to achieve them – you must TRY. Second, having support from your friends and family is key, and don’t be afraid to ask for and accept help.
You cannot do everything on your own and help is not a sign of incompetence or weakness. Lastly, no matter how smart you think you are, you don’t know everything, and listening to the ideas and suggestions from the people around you who love and care for you is also important.
