Check Out Jeia Moore’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeia Moore.

Hi Jeia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started creating content out of a genuine love for food, culture, and my city. Memphis has so many amazing restaurants and small businesses that don’t always get the spotlight they deserve, and I found myself constantly sharing places I loved with friends and family. Eventually, I realized I could turn that habit into content that helped both people looking for good food and local businesses looking to be seen.
What began as casually posting restaurant visits grew into a focused effort to highlight local spots, showcase their atmosphere, and tell their stories in a way that feels real and relatable. I’ve always aimed to create content that feels like a recommendation from a friend, not an advertisement.
Over time, my consistency and genuine approach helped me build relationships with restaurant owners and brands, leading to paid collaborations and partnerships. Today, I use my platform to promote Memphis restaurants, support small businesses, and create engaging short-form content that connects people to great local experiences. I’m proud of how far it’s come, and I’m excited to keep growing while continuing to spotlight the city that inspired it all.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been staying consistent, especially while balancing everything on my own. When you’re a solo creator, you’re responsible for every part of the process — filming, editing, posting, outreach, and staying motivated — and that can be overwhelming at times.
Despite those challenges, working through them has helped me grow both personally and creatively. Staying consistent, gaining confidence, and pushing forward independently has shaped the creator I am today and continues to motivate me to keep going.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Professionally, I work full-time as a Computer Software Specialist for MLGW, where I focus on problem-solving, systems, and making sure technology supports real people in meaningful ways. Outside of my corporate role, I’m deeply involved in my community through coaching and ministry.
I’m a volleyball coach at Mt. Pisgah Middle School, where I’m passionate about mentoring young athletes, building confidence, and teaching teamwork and discipline beyond the game. Under my leadership, our team achieved undefeated district champion status, a reflection of both the hard work of the athletes and the culture of dedication and growth we cultivate. I’m also the ministry leader of A Chosen Generation at Mt. Pisgah MB, where I help guide and uplift girls through faith, creativity, and purpose-driven leadership.
What I’m most proud of is the ability to balance multiple roles while staying true to who I am. I don’t separate my work, my passions, or my faith — they all inform how I show up in every space. I’ve learned to embrace every part of my journey, including the good, the bad, and the uncomfortable moments, because my flaws and challenges have helped mold me into the person I am today.
What sets me apart is authenticity. Whether I’m working in tech, coaching, leading ministry, or creating content, I lead with intention, consistency, and heart. I’m known for showing up fully, serving others, and using my platforms — both online and offline — to positively impact the people and communities around me.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I view risk as an essential part of growth. For me, it’s not about recklessness — it’s about calculated courage. One of the biggest risks I’ve taken has been putting myself and my ideas out into the world through content creation. Sharing your voice online or publicly can be intimidating because it opens you up to judgment and criticism, but it’s also a powerful way to inspire and connect with others.
Another major risk has been stepping fully into my calling — whether that’s leading my ministry or coaching young athletes. Choosing to commit deeply to these roles, knowing it would require vulnerability, time, and emotional investment, was a risk in itself. But it’s been incredibly rewarding, because those risks have allowed me to make meaningful impact and grow in ways I couldn’t have anticipated.
To me, risk isn’t just about big leaps; it’s about leaning into discomfort with intention, trusting your purpose, and being willing to show up fully, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
