Check Out Richard Echols’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Richard Echols.

Hi Richard, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I started drawing as a kid and I never stopped.

I went to arts-centered schools from middle school to high school to solidify my foundation in art. Eventually, I made a name for myself as an artist through my college years and through the present day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a pretty smooth road since I started so young. The biggest challenge for me was staying consistent and trusting myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a visual artist. Predominately known for painting. I’m most proud of my work in the community as an artistic public servant.

Also, as a part-time drawing instructor for the University of Memphis. What sets me apart is that I know that I am nothing without the people that support me & believe in me.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as doing what you love and staying consistent with it… because life is short.
