Today we’d like to introduce you to Cierra Ferguson.
Hi Cierra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My start in modeling started with an opportunity from a local photographer by the name of Marcus Beason. I remember the day like it was yesterday! I actually asked my sister to take me some random pictures outside and it kind of got a lot of people’s attention!
Ever since I was a child, I’ve always been interested in anything dealing with Art! From makeup, and hair to taking my own pictures, acting, and making dance and singing videos! I have always walked in my creativity. I remember the day I took my first set of professional pictures On May 3rd, 2020. I received a message from Marcus (B) asking if was I interested in taking some headshots. From that moment, I fell in love!
Everything about that day was amazing to me and I will forever cherish the opportunity that was given to him! From then, I began to work with other local photographers! The amount of support that I have received allowed me to continue to walk in my gift!!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely! Everything about my experience has made me realize that your number one fan should always be you, of course, I have had times where doubt has crept in and tried to make me feel as if I’m not deserving of the lifestyle that I want but my faith sits stronger than anything.
Some of the most challenging yet rewarding times came from every experience!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a professional Model (Print, Runway, and Commercial), Actress, & Dancer!
I’m most known for modeling & now acting! I have been dancing all my life as well! The thing that I am proud of is all of my accomplishments! From every photographer, designer, model, creative and professional; I have worked with I am proud of everything that I do!
What sets me apart from others is my ability to adapt to any setting, whether it is a music video, fashion show, or a small film I am willing to put my all into it to make sure that the art is perfected! My diverse look also allows me to stand out from the crowd!
So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why.
What matters most to me is freedom. Freedom is a word that could have a variety of meanings, in this since I am speaking about the freedom to be, do and express myself creatively as I should!
As a young child, I have always expressed myself with everything BUT my words and to finally find a voice is what feels like freedom to me!
To be able to put me out into the world, to showcase my inner world outwardly is what matters most to me, and that’s what I call freedom!
