Hello Disbəlēf Tequila, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Baseball Rich was developed in 2015 by Ralf Golden and Toriano Banks. The term was created based on baseball players being the highest-paid athletes without a salary cap. So Banks used to say let’s get “Baseball Rich”. That also led to the company motto “Live A Lifestyle With NO Salary Cap” meaning anything you do in life be the best at it and there should be no ceiling on anything you do in life.
In 2017, the 2 decided to slide into the spirits business. They agreed to stick with the baseball theme with the movement created in 2 years but they did not want to name the alcohol “Baseball Rich Tequila”. After conversations between 5 different names, they decided to go with Disbelief. There are 2 reasons they chose that name.
Reason 1 is when they were showing potential investors the prototype drawing no one believed in the drawing enough to invest. Reason 2 was they wanted to develop a product so smooth that it would leave you in “disbelief” when trying it.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road. The first biggest challenge is securing the proper finances to be competitive in the market. Another challenge faced was building a buzz and securing distribution.
Also, most retailers are hesitant on taking on new brands especially if it is not provided by a major distributor and on a major platform

We are in the wine/spirits business. Our brand has been breaking barriers since day one. Mostly, everything we did was in a nontraditional way but we made retailers believe in our vision instead of being told “this is what we should do”.
We are aiming to become the number 1 selling tequila in our market, region, country, and eventually the world
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Our business is one of the biggest risks you can take. The old saying is no risk no reward.
Big risk big reward. But everything we are doing we manifested in the beginning. We were confident in our packaging, the product, and its contents. The rest was if we could execute a solid marketing strategy. With all of those in place we knew we had a shot at winning despite the risk.
