Hidden Gems: Meet Christion George of TheyMoneyShotzz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christion George.

Hi Christion, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My whole life I have been into photography. It all started when I was younger my mother would always ask me to take her pictures. That right there sparked my love for photography majorly. Since then, I have just been taking pictures and one day, I decided I love photography why not make it my profession.

Ever since I was younger, I dreamed of working for myself and doing something that I was passionate about. Last year in October, I officially starting living my dream and I have been going strong ever since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has had its ups and downs but for the most part, it has been smooth. The only problem I ran into is when I got a new camera I had to learn a couple of new things but nothing major.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The origin of my business name came from how I want people to look at my work. Have you ever heard now that’s a money shot? That’s what I want you to think when you see my work. I want my pictures to tell you a story. My specialty is landscape and nature shots. We live in a beautiful world and I just want to capture every aspect of it.

The thing that sets me apart from everybody else is that I go above and beyond to assure my client is comfortable and satisfied. I’m most proud about seeing my clients smiling after the shoot. I only have one thing to say when you book with me it’s more than a photoshoot it’s an experience.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the food and the people Memphis has some of the funniest people without even trying. The only thing I dislike is the hate the city has for each other. It’s so much money in this world why are we hating on each other and not uplifting each other. People think just because both of you are in the same profession that it’s a competition why not collaborate with each other?
