Hi Samuel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our Story
Founded in October 2020 by Samuel Childers, STCPHOTOS began as a creative outlet driven by a passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. What started as a one-man pursuit soon grew into a full-fledged business known for cinematic storytelling and heartfelt imagery, specializing in wedding videography and photography that authentically reflects each couple’s story.
By 2025, we evolved into STCVISUALS, expanding beyond photography to offer a complete range of visual services. The new name reflects who we truly are — creators of visuals that inspire, whether through photos, films, or aerial perspectives.
Based in Memphis, Tennessee, STCVISUALS serves clients across Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, and beyond, even capturing destination weddings around the country. Our offerings include weddings, family and couples’ sessions, video production, Legacy Films, drone services, and more. Every project is crafted with intention, emotion, and timeless artistry.
With a background in creative media production, Samuel blends technical precision with cinematic style. As an FAA Part 107–certified drone pilot with over two years of flawless flight experience, he delivers breathtaking aerial perspectives that elevate storytelling to new heights.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been smooth. Sometimes I sit at the computer wondering if I made the right choice, but then a call or a notification comes through and someone hires me to help promote their business. Those moments make it all worth it. My biggest struggle has been balancing family life: my wife wants to help but works full time and we just had a baby. My goal is to grow the business so she can choose to join me full time when the time is right.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in wedding videography and photography for couples and engagements, as well as families, seniors, and small businesses.
I’m most proud when I deliver a final product to a couple, a business, or anyone who’s trusted me with their story. Seeing their excitement, their smiles, and their gratitude or even their honest feedback connects me to the experience on a deeper, more personal level. Unlike a typical 9–5 job where you can feel like a zombie, this work reminds me that every success or failure is mine. At the end of the day, I made the call and that’s what drives me.
