Today we’d like to introduce you to Luvy Fields
Hi Luvy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Bad and Boozy Unlimited originated in Louisiana as Bad and Boozy LA. My business started as “dish to bring for events” and then people asked me ordering them for their own parties. I would sell them for alot of the BYOB events and Mardi Gras. It started out as jello shots and then expanded to other adult beverages like adult Capri suns and daiquiri style slushes.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been a lot of challenges in the development of Bad and Boozy Unlimited. Learning legally and taste wise the correct amount of liquor need to make a good drink has been the biggest challenge. Everyone has different tolerance for drinks so I attempt to be mindful of that during production.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Bad and Boozy Unlimited is the “home of the thirty-flavas”. We offer customized jello, pudding, and wine shots/syringes. Over the years I have recreated some of the most traditional cocktails and added a lil “razzle dazzle” to it. With blends of fresh fruit and real juice blends I have made unique tastes in both solid (jello) and liquid (adult Capri) form.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I learned a lot about how to balance home life and how to handle customers when accepting orders. I ended up getting sick, so I had to choose whether it was best to delay an order or give the option refund orders due to not feeling well. It was a loss for both of us. Thankfully through practicing continuous Covid-19 social distancing and hand hygiene orders are back and ready to go.
