Hi Rashedah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When covid hit in 2020, it literally upended the healthcare industry. I had just graduated nurse anesthesia school and was enjoying my new career when it happened and many healthcare workers were experiencing tragedies and traumas not only in the hospital realm but also in the sanctity of their homes. As a result, covid vaccinations were rolled out and many people, including those who worked in the hospital arena, had apprehensions about it as it involved the presence of genetic material (mRNA) and hadn’t gone through the rigorous testing that past vaccinations had due to the urgency of ‘need’. Many hospitals mandated being vaccinated in order to continue employment and not only that, fear itself of the disease and the potential to lose income necessary to sustain households coerced many people into accepting something they didn’t agree with nor wanted. Knowing that your livelihood could be snatched because you refused to take a shot shook up a fire that was already present within me. I had been on the fence about starting my own business but going through covid and that whole ordeal gave me the courage to step out and do it. Ironically, during this same time, I was beginning to receive emails from Hydreight which is a mobile IV wellness company that supports nurses who want to start their own IV infusion business. I booked a discovery call with one of the representatives of the company and the rest is history!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business in itself isn’t easy! From figuring out what to name it, to logo and website design, involving and paying professionals to help, and trying to keep up with posting on social media all while working full-time, raising a child (and cat lol!), and maintaining a household is very challenging! I literally have a whole new respect and perspective towards entrepreneurs. The glamour looks good on the outside, but the grit and grind that goes unseen is real!

ReignWater is an IV vitamin and hydration infusion business that offers a range of services that includes various IV infusions tailored to an individual’s specific needs as well as IM (intramuscular) injections such as B12, vitamin D3, and weight loss injections. What sets me apart from others is that I’m a CRNA which stands for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. I work part-time in the hospital OR performing preoperative physical assessments, putting people to sleep and providing sedation for various surgeries and procedures. This also means that I perform a lot of IVs daily, so clients can come to me knowing that they will be receiving the very best personalized care without the worry of being ‘stuck’ multiple times. What I am most proud of brand wise is that clients can expect consistency and a genuine level of care and concern about helping them to function at their most optimal well-being. I also have the option of clients coming to my infusion suite or I can come to their home/office/hotel as well!
