Rising Stars: Meet Sade Shine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sade Shine.

Hi Sade, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I began singing at the age of six in church, school, and local talent shows. By the time I was a sophomore in high school I was participating in all of the arts the school had to offer from the choir, plays, musicals, and speech and debate. I began to compete and win in regional State and national competitions.

I was writing and recording original music and a local studio, I began performing shows by the age of 14 gaining a local following. After high school, I attended college in Atlanta Georgia where I also was developing as an artist and businesswoman. After college, I decided to open my booking and promotion company Shine Entertainment.

We book and promote major artists for a variety of events while showcasing up-and-coming artists and building my personal career as a recording artist. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some of the biggest names in the industry. In 2015, I went on to be featured on the popular television show American Idol.

After leaving the show, I continued to book myself through my company shine entertainment eventually landing the lead role of Ursula in Disney’s Broadway musical version of The Little mermaid the White House theater. Since then, we have booked major artists like Juicy J from Memphis, Tennessee Lil Boosie and so many more.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all! Staying motivated can be tasking, especially when plans and projects don’t pan out as planned. One of my most difficult moments was being sent home from American Idol.

I began to question everything I was pursuing as far as being an artist. There was an audition I had had in Las Vegas for a huge job in Japan, I was told I was the best Vocalist there and but I was too large for the job. Later that year, I was cast as Ursula in a Disney Broadway Musical.

Meet American Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, and Actress Sade Shine.

Born in Dexter Missouri raised in Springfield Missouri Ms. Shine has become a household name in her state and across America. Most known for her appearance on season 14 of American Idol and Ursula in Disney’s Broadway Musical version of “The Little Mermaid” she has been featured in the Featured Film “Downfall” as well as a host of Independent films. The talent of Sade Shine doesn’t stop there as she is the Owner of Shine Entertainment LLC., booking and hosting major and local events.

Ms. Shine has a beautiful Vocal ability being cast in the “Motown Downtown theater show in Branson Missouri, paying tribute to great women of Soul such as Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Chaka Khan, and more. Being featured on billboards on the famous Hwy 76. Sade Shine has equally built a dedicated following for her work as an independent artist with her live band. Landing the “Top5” award as. Well as the “4-State” award for Best Female Rapper and Vocalist. Opening for major names such as Nelly, Juicy J, Lil Boosie, Jellyroll, Souljah Boy, and Many more. With musical features with Project Pat, Lachat, and BWA Kane.

The best part of it all is her work in the community as an activist. Using her platform to give back to the community events and speak out against violence and discrimination. Highlighting other artists while feeding the community and providing activities for the youth and creating space for local artist to showcase their art. Fresh off her headline Tour. Sade Shine is currently featured on all LaChat of Three Six Mafia new Mixtape “Chatway” streaming on all Mixtape platforms as well as promoting her new single “Top5” on all digital streaming platforms.

What are your plans for the future?
I am currently working as an Aretha Franklin tribute artist in Branson, MO. While promoting my new music on my social media sites and live performances. I am also working on a reality TV project.

As well as mentoring up-and-coming artists while working with 2 local non-profit organizations.
