Hi Sharen, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I began my business when I was an Executive Director as quickly realized I enjoyed networking and building relationships. I began helping my friends with business connections, media connections, and all types of marketing strategies and it grew from there more than 20 years ago. I’ve worked hard by maintaining and building on those relationships and word of mouth has been a major asset to my growth. Building a brand takes time and also means your character and continuous learning and development of your craft are equally important. Operating with a spirit of humility is paramount and my foundation in all things. My work portfolio has afforded Power Media Solutions to work with some great celebrities and wonderful nonprofits and just al around great business owners local and non-local.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, the road has not been smooth. When trends change, so does your client base. With Covid, a lot of people started businesses, but they didn’t really understand the phases and therefore, they allocated dollars into areas that they shouldn’t have and therefore had gaps in their business. Business owners who did have the funds cut back and also were hindered. The struggles come from a lack of education and understanding of entrepreneurship. Many people are in love with the illusion of being in business. You must be willing to pull late hours, rise early, get ahead of the trends, grow with technology, always growing, making investments that require money even when your client base has decreased. Once you get on a steady path it’s about maintenance at that point and building onto your platforms.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see PMS expanding our media platform. We offer remote services so it will only expand at the rate we are going. Digital marketing will be one of the number one services of which we are already seeing an uptick in that service.
