Rising Stars: Meet Avery Ester of Memphis, TN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Avery Ester

Hi Avery, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I first started Brnded Beauty in 2021 with no real intention on where it would go. Growing up as a child I always had a passion for anything involving beauty. I pursued my interest in beauty when I started wearing lash extensions but had trouble gaining clients. I centered my business around lashes first. I got so discouraged that I took a break for 2 years. I relaunched my business October 2023. I really feel like it was God telling me to wait and restart on his time. The best time, at that. I wanted to offer more than just lashes. I decided to center my business around hair extensions, lipgloss, and lashes. This way I could provide more for my clients. My vision is to provide products that are affordable and quality with services that will make my clients feel so beautiful without spending their whole pockets. I am proud to provide such top notch customer service because I value how my clients feel after purchasing something from me or being serviced. My goal is to make every person feel beautiful from the inside out.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an entrepreneur has its perks, but it’s definitely not easy. For me, sometimes it’s hard gaining clientele. Some days are great, some days are good, and then some days are slow. Everyday I’m grateful. Honestly, that’s just apart of being a business owner. You will have slow days. You may not sell a thing, but if you network and always try God will always bring it back ten fold. I truly just live in the present and accept whatever comes with having my business. I try not to dwell in hardship. Marketing, branding, and networking is hard. I feel that it’s just one of those instances where it truly has to be in you and not on you. Entrepreneurship is not for the faint. However, I enjoy every moment of it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am currently a advocate for healthcare. I have been working in healthcare for 2 years now. Currently, my specialty is OBGYN. I have 2 degrees, which I am most proud of. Healthcare is my 2nd passion. I truly do have a nurturing and giving heart. My purpose has always been to help others. It’s ironic that I take interest in healthcare and beauty, but I feel that it goes hand in hand. What sets me apart from others is my passion, work ethic, confidence, communication, and kindness. I feel that these values have become so modernized and watered down that it’s lacking importance in businesses and even just everyday work life. It is important to me to have these values because it shows that I’m genuinely a good person and that I have great business manners.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In my future, I see 2 storefronts for my business. I would love to create a safe space for women to come and feel at home while purchasing my products and/or be serviced by myself and other kind women. I am truly a girl’s girl. I feel it’s enough opportunities for everyone. Also, I want to create opportunities to help women gain clarity on how to run a business by providing courses and books. One goal I have within this is to advocate to young girls there are legal and healthy ways to follow your passions. I always say that the young girls have it to their advantage starting businesses so young. I would love to be the chosen one that instills the importance of key business values and truly understanding how to run a business all around.
