Hi Courtney and India, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Rose Restorations & Development began as a leap of faith. I knew it was time for change, but comfort held me captive —until God made it clear that it was time to step into purpose. In 2024, I completed my affiliate broker class, believing real estate sales would be my path. But as my wife, India, and I explored the world of real estate, we developed a deeper passion for investing and remodeling. Like many, we loved watching HGTV home transformations—but unlike most, we wanted more than to watch; we wanted to create and get our hands dirty.
With research, prayer, and wise counsel, we purchased our first two investment properties in Bartlett and Jackson, Tennessee. Shortly after, Rose Restorations & Development, LLC was born, and I obtained my contractor’s license. As a husband-and-wife team, we’ve poured our hearts into this work. Through our own renovation experiences, the highs and the lows, we discovered a passion for revitalizing communities—transforming neglected houses into beautiful, safe homes with that signature Rose Restorations touch. Today, we’re proud to be building not only a business, but a legacy—founded on faith.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Working in both real estate investment and residential remodeling, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges along the way. One of the greatest has been building a team of skilled contractors who not only share our vision but also uphold the highest standards of quality, integrity, and craftsmanship. Today, we’re proud to say the team is growing! Their dedication allows us to deliver exceptional results—whether that means creating safe, customized homes for buyers or providing top-notch remodeling or renovation services for our clients.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What do we NOT do? RRD covers every aspect of residential construction and remodeling—from full kitchen or bathroom renovations to flooring, home additions, roofing, tile work, electrical, and plumbing. If it’s part of a house, our team can handle it. While we offer a wide range of services, whole-home renovations are really our thing! That’s where we SHINE. One of our first projects in Bartlett was a complete transformation of an entire home. It was truly our construction baby that allowed us to showcase the level of detail, quality, and care we bring to every renovation.
How do you define success?
For us, success is about building strong foundations—both literally and figuratively. It means creating financial stability for our family and for our clients by contributing to the value and security of their greatest investment- their homes. Success also means having the freedom of time—to be present with our family and to shape our own schedules through the gift of entrepreneurship. At the heart of it all, success is having a team we can truly stand behind and be proud of the work we accomplish together.
