We’re looking forward to introducing you to NT Genous. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning NT, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m proud of building my mindset! I’ve mentally grown substantially within the past 10 years and it has helped me become a better person and also an inspiration to others.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello to you all, my name Is NT Genous. I am the owner of Tennessee’s Elite OCD Cleaning Services LLC. We specialize in a variety of cleaning needs. Carpet Cleaning, Car Detailing, Upholstery Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Pressure Washing etc. Moreover, I’m a single father of 5 amazing boys that I love and care about dearly!! I also speak motivation to people on TikTok under the name SkipTheMotivationalKing! This entire year has been a journey for my boys and myself. I had a major surgery that has had me on disability since December 20th of 2024. Being on disability has giving me more time and experiences with my kids this year but also has giving me the opportunity to see things in a different light. A good light.. I plan to be back up in Running October 20th and when I return, I will definitely continue where I left off. In summation, I would like to thank you all for this opportunity and taking the time out to read my story.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I would definitely have to say my father. He believed in me when I didn’t completely believe In myself. The failures I would have was so impactful that it was hard to see past it! My dad, having the wisdom he has let me know that the greats also failed a lot. He told me that failure is good. It’s good to fail early because when you do, you will eventually learn and correct it or learn from it.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I had surgery on my foot March 28th to remove a Tumor, Bone Spurs and thick veins from my foot. I’ve always been a worker. I’ve always stayed busy but for the next four months, I had to just sit there and stay still. Going through excruciating pain that was frustrating for me. I had to Sit there and heal.. I felt so useless because I couldn’t do much of anything for myself. One of my best friends(Dewayne) surprised me with crutches, snacks and words of motivation. I don’t think he know how important that was to me but it was. I was in a really dark place doing that time but things eventually begin to get better for me. Thank God!!
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I believe my circle would say that im all about bringing everybody together and having a good time. They would say that me blessing others matter to me. Being a motivator to others whether they down or not. They know me and I’ve always been this way. They know that I like my jewelry and I absolutely love my colognes. Can’t go wrong there.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I believe most people don’t understand that God loves a cheerful Giver!! Most people tend to only think of themselves and that could have came from childhood experiences or just growing up and nobody doing anything for them and they decided they won’t do anything for anybody else. When I’m being a blessing to someone, I don’t do it for a blessing in return. I do it because it genuinely makes me feel good. I’ve blessed people before to the point, it made them want to be a blessing to others but most times, people will only think about their needs only. I believe people should put themselves in someone else shoes and see how they would feel. I also believe that a person should just do something for someone. They shouldn’t have to always ask. Especially if you consider them a close friend or even a significant other. Those type of actions display being a cheerful giver.
