Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Armstrong.
Hi Amber, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I got started with a little push from family which was very much needed. Anytime I am out I am always at the bar studying how someone is mixing a drink or at any family event, a family member will shout out. “Amber go do your thing”. It makes me feel good when mixing and creating drinks for people.
I mean I can make ice and water taste good when “I” mix it. I have been mixing juice and drinks for the longest but when I went to a good person name “Flo Da Butler” class she showed me the ropes and encouraged me even more. When someone book with me they just don’t know how happy that makes me. I bring a good vibe and a taste that will not be forgotten.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say it’s a smooth road with me just now starting. You know nowadays it’s all about who knows who. Or if you are famous on social media to get a step ahead I would say.
My work and dedication will speak for itself. I have very slow days or sometimes I am like a road runner. I would say the biggest struggle right now is just me starting out and getting out there. I am not just mixing anything. I study before any event and I also mix based on a person’s personality. That makes it so much fun.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
When it comes to being a bartender it’s all about being creative. You have to have the right blend, and measurement, not too much and not too little to have the perfect drink. I don’t need it to be bitter or too sweet but right in the middle. That’s why I have the phrase “Trust the Taste”. You can’t trust the taste if the flavor is not right. I love the passion that I put into each experience. I am a mobile bartender that specializes in mixed drinks. Ask about the house drink, you will not be disappointed.
What sets me apart from other bartenders is that we all are different and have our unique style. No one person is the same. You will get something different. A different taste, experience, smile, time, and most of all with “Strong Spirits” we want you to relax in the moment. I am proud of my businesses thus far because this is something I put time and dedication in. I can’t wait to be your favorite bartender.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
How to open my mouth and introduce myself.
Allowing myself to be seen for a change. I’m learning that nothing is given but it’s worth it all when you put your all within. I’m still learning and teachable.
