Check Out Bamo Karem’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bamo Karem.

Hi Bamo, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with a genuine passion for capturing moments. As soon as I was old enough to buy my first phone, I began taking photos of anything that caught my eye. That passion grew quickly; I bought a camera, taught myself the craft, and spent time photographing anything from street scenes to city life. Bringing the ideas in my head to life. After years of consistent practice, I decided to take things seriously when I graduated college. I began working with major names in the music industry, an incredible opportunity that presented itself early in my career. From there, I expanded onto videos, launched a YouTube channel, and started building a creative community around me. What began as a passion, turned into a purpose, and I’m grateful for every step that’s brought me here!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life will never be a smooth road! The world wasn’t built perfect for you. Every road has a crack or a pothole on it somewhere. It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. As a photographer, some of the biggest struggles I’ve faced have been building a consistent client base and standing out in such a saturated market. Early on, I had to do a lot of unpaid or underpaid work just to build a portfolio. There were also times when self-doubt crept in, especially when comparing myself to others or dealing with clients who undervalued creative work. Learning to manage the business side—like marketing, pricing, and contracts—was also a challenge. Yet, every struggle has pushed me to grow, both as an artist and a professional. Albert Einstein once stated, “In the middle of every difficulty, lies opportunity”.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do a lot! I’m on all platforms on social media. My socials are @BamCamTV. I started recording for these purposes so it would speak for itself! I am very spontaneous one might say. I like to work on cars, I like boxing, I like editing and my main focus photography/videography. I specialize in portrait, landscape, cars, wildlife, fashion, commercial, street photography. I have shot some music videos in my time. Shoutout to @ProdWolfe & @Exec.Brandino_. I am most proud of getting my photos published in a Nike magazine. An opportunity that presented itself and took a chance and my photos were chosen. What sets me apart is my courage to be different and my perspective. You have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. If not, then you’ll remain in the same place!

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
My partners and I have a Brand (Lifestyle) that is coming very soon! It is called Dicey! We are trademarked and an LLC. I enjoy taking risks, no risk, no reward! Dicey represents risk takers! It stands for those who have taken a risk in life and made a change for the better! For instance, you take a chance at a business and it actually becomes a successfull business and it changes the outcome of your life! That was a Dicey move! It was risky, but you did it! Now look at you. The inspiration for me came from me taking a risk with the camera and it ended doing really well! Stay Dicey!
