Today we’d like to introduce you to Dre Gilchrist.
Hi Dre, We are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When I was younger I watched a lot of YouTube videos, I wanted to be like the people I saw on my computer so I started filming my own skits that’s where I fell in love with the process of creating and editing later on down the line.
I started doing music I eventually got a camera to do my own photos and music videos, then people started asking me to do videos for them so on and so forth. That is where my filmmaking journey actually began!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has been somewhat smooth I just have an understanding that everything is a process so I’ve just been patiently waiting for things to fall in line.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a filmmaker, I’m most proud of writing and directing my first short film this year, my passion, my film style, and the way that I write set me apart from others!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memories are waking up early to watch my favorite TV shows before going off to school.
