Check Out Hunter Burrus’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hunter Burrus.

Hi Hunter, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started duck guiding about 15 years ago. I really enjoy introducing Arkansas duck and goose hunting to my customers. I started Burrus Bros Outfitting 4 years ago. I named my outfit after my 3 boys. Knox, Brody, and Rowdy The Burrus Bros!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been a struggle due to the flooded market of outfitting in Arkansas. But with good property and a great group of guides Burrus Bros Outfitting has grown tremendously in the past 2 years.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I also run a crew at TNT Greens in Memphis, TN. We install synthetic turf all over the Midsouth area. We install outdoor putting greens in entire backyards.

We specialize in customer service, communication, and most of the quality. I also apply these standards to my outfitting business.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grew up in Somerville, TN, and was very outgoing.

My brother and I were always outside hunting or fishing or playing some sport. I was a successful athlete in football and basketball. Football was my favorite. As duck hunting was my favorite type of hunting.
