Check Out Jacquelin DeAngelo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacquelin DeAngelo.

Hi Jacquelin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As a youngster I was always interested in animal care. While growing up in New York City there was not a lot of opportunities to explore my curiosity. However, where there is a will, there is a way. being driven by my heart, at 14 years old, I found a riding stable that would allow me to learn about horses in NYC. Now being young, it was quite difficult to convince my parents that I would be safe leaving at 6am in the morning on a city bus to get to the stable. Through the years, I learned how to care for horses and ride to a competition level, while receiving my Masters Degree in education and become a teacher. It was always my dream to retire from the city and move south. While working as a teacher, I continued to educate myself on animal care. In 1983, I bought my first dog. As always I couldn’t just have a pet, I wanted to show, breed and hunt in competitions with my dogs. Fast forward it is now 2026, I made it to Tennessee after 35 years teaching. In retirement I reside in Monteagle, Tn with my eight boykin spaniels competing in American Kennel Club events across the United States.
