Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaime Stevens.
Hi Jaime, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
For many years, my life was centered around being a stay-at-home mom and caring for my family, a role I cherished deeply. But as life often does, things took an unexpected turn. I began facing personal health challenges that forced me to take a closer look at my own well-being and the way I was caring for myself.
That season of life became a turning point.
As I worked to improve my health, I began making intentional lifestyle changes—focusing on wellness, nutrition, reducing stress, and learning how deeply our internal health affects what we see externally, especially our skin. Through that journey, I discovered how transformative proper skincare and holistic wellness could be—not just physically, but emotionally as well.
The more I learned about caring for my own skin and overall health, the more passionate I became. What started as personal healing quickly grew into something much bigger: a calling. I decided to go back to school to become an esthetician so I could help others experience that same transformation.
That journey led me to create Mia Bella Esthetics.
Mia Bella Esthetics is more than a skincare studio—it’s a space built from my own experiences, my passion for healing, and my desire to nurture others. I wanted to create a place where people feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. A place where skincare isn’t just about appearance, but about confidence, wellness, self-care, and feeling your absolute best from the inside out.
As a holistic esthetician, I believe healthy skin starts with more than products and treatments. It’s about lifestyle, education, balance, and understanding each person’s unique needs. My approach combines skincare with overall wellness because true beauty begins with health.
One of the things I love most about this work is the connection it creates. Caring for people has always been part of who I am—whether as a mother, a nurturer, or now as a business owner. Mia Bella Esthetics allows me to continue serving others in a deeply meaningful way while also building genuine community.
My hope is that when clients walk through my doors, they feel more than pampered—they feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Mia Bella Esthetics is the result of resilience, healing, and a leap of faith. What began as one of the most challenging chapters of my life became the inspiration for something beautiful, and I’m honored to now share that with my community.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Returning to school and stepping back into the working world after years as a stay-at-home mom came with its own set of challenges. I had to rebuild my confidence, adjust to learning in a completely new environment, and navigate the self-doubt that naturally comes with starting over later in life. Balancing family responsibilities while pursuing my education and building a business was not easy, but those challenges ultimately strengthened my resilience and reminded me that growth often begins outside of our comfort zone.

Something that I feel passionate about is my personalized, holistic approach to skincare. I believe no two skin journeys are the same, which is why I offer fully customizable facial treatments tailored to each client’s unique skin needs and overall wellness goals. I also love creating connections beyond the treatment room through pop-up events and collaborations with other local wellness and community providers, because building relationships and supporting our community is just as important to me as helping clients achieve healthy, radiant skin.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
For me, it has been faith, perseverance, and a lot of hard work that carried me through. There were moments of uncertainty, challenges that tested me, and times when starting over felt overwhelming, but I trusted that I was being led toward this purpose. Through faith, determination, and a willingness to keep showing up even when things felt difficult, I was able to turn a challenging season of life into something meaningful that now allows me to serve others.
