Hi DJ Yo, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
my dad had a dream and moved to California with my mom. I was born in California. ..my parents are from memphis …I started doing music at the age of 6 years old… my parents left California when I was 7 years old . then my parents move to Las Vegas …stayed in Vegas til I was 8 years old … my mom got home sick and my parents moved back to south memphis .
I was in the 3rd grade when we came back to southmemphis… growing up in southmemphis in 1992-1994 was fun and dangers. we stayed up the street from the dealers and I used to see the dealers every morning on the way to school…. so my dad saw the south memphis roughest and decide to buy me some dj equipment so I can stay busy learning how to dj so I want be on the corner saleing drugs. and I never stop djing since then .
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
its has not been a smooth road …haveing health condition kinda slow things down …but im ok . after I gradurated high school in memphis 1999 ..I moved to ATL to help my cousin shot music videos for a year …then moved to Las Vegas and did couple gigs out there and was in a bad accident were I broke my ankle a, femur bone. so that put me on a stand still for a while .. had to come back to memphis and heal …

im known for Djing . im most proud of my 21 year old son . I talk diffrent, dress different , and my personality is different ..more like the black sheep, and that sets me apart from others .
