Today we’d like to introduce you to Micah Addison.
Hi Micah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Micah and I’m currently in high school. I wanted to start doing lashes because it seemed satisfying to me and I wanted to help girls have higher self-esteem just by the smallest enhancement.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, at first, everything wasn’t going so well. I was scared to even start my own business. I always thought nobody was going to support me or the book or even just like my post.
But I had to just try and take a risk. Once I took that risk and saw how many doors it opened and the things it did for me, I gained the courage to keep going and to keep trying to practice what I wanted to perfect. So as of now, things have been good and I’ve improved so well. My clientele has been good and my clients haven’t been problematic. So right now the road is smooth.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Lash Extensions. Lash extensions are when you either take 1 classic lash and apply it to your natural lash or a fan of lashes and take it and apply it. Being a lash tech isn’t always easy it comes with a lot of hard tasks.
Such as; making sure you isolate well, prepping the lashes well, making sure you use the right glue, etc. It comes with a lot. Something that sets me and my sets apart from others is that I make sure it’s the set you want, make sure that it fits your eye shape, make sure that you are always comfortable before I do anything to your lashes, and I always follow up with my clients to see how their lashes are doing.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important thing I’ve learned since I started has been to always keep going because your work will improve and get better!
Also, I’ve learned to never give up no matter what anyone says about your work or you! Put yourself and your business first because you can only hold yourself back or stop yourself.
