Today we’d like to introduce you to Twin Macaya.
Hi Twin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I come from a place where friends dying at 14-15. Family absent, dead or even incarcerated. I started my own brand 2-3 years ago T2M/Trenches2Millions. I grew up singing with my Great Grandmother and granny Jean when I was 5-6 years old. Had a Group called “Annie Mae & The Morris singers”. They’re all deceased now we grew up in one home…neighborhood called Riverton. I moved out at a young age seen my mom turn disable from a bad car wreck, I always wanted to return to my people whenever I signed my first deal or make it. Music is Therapeutic for me it helps copes with the pain..the betrayal with all the losses etc. Been a long time coming for me going through alotta different phases.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Me being homeless losing my home and everything I had including friends and family
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I make music from the soul.. I’m very good at singing and being lyrical. What sets me apart from others is being authentic being so different you can’t help but notice it. Everybody doesn’t go the extra mile it takes to be Great. From so many losses I learned from em so I had to comeback and make A WIN. I’m proud to be an Artist of 3 children making a good living for myself while still chasing my dreams
