Today we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Richmond.
Hi Bianca, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Bianca and I am a native of Mississippi, born and raised.I started BRich Productions under the Parent Company BRich Enterprises. I wrote my first book “Married to a Cheater, In Love with a Husband” in 2020 and turned it into a Stage Play which premiered for the first time in Memphis, TN on July 31, 2021.
Although my book was created on marriage and relationships, not all parts in the book are true. Some parts of the book are created from situations with family and friends.
I have been an entrepreneur for almost 10 years. My first business was Riche Designs & Events which is my event planning and design company. I also started my own home care agency called Randolph’s Home Care, which was started after I lost my uncle who the company is named after.
Growing up, I watched my father become a businessman in the field of insurance and although I didn’t want to be an insurance agent, I knew I wanted to be in a place where I owned my own business. I just didn’t know what.
Being a single mother with a son forced me to want to build an empire and leave a legacy. I have now 3 children and continuing to grow and build something my kids can run after I am gone.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely has not been on a smooth road. I grew up watching my father in the field of insurance. He made it look so easy lol. So I thought all I had to do was just create a business and let it make money.
Little did I know, it takes a whole lot of discipline to be a business owner. I was a single mother with one goal and that was to build an empire for my children. I started a few businesses that didn’t really go so well. I became frustrated because it wasn’t making any money.
Just when I got the mindset to give up, I came across the book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”. I read the book and it gave me a whole different site on running a business. And although I have been an entrepreneur for almost 10 years, there is still a lot of learning still needed.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
What set me aside from others is that I am so humble. I never brag about anything I do. When I learn something, I try my best to teach it to the next person because there is enough money in this world for everyone to win. I want to see other people win.
I don’t get mad when someone gets blessed before me. I heard from a wise man that when my neighbors are getting blessed, I need to be happy and get ready because that means God is in the neighborhood.
What do you think about happiness?
Seeing my kids happy is what makes me happy the most. Also, hearing others say how proud they are of me and how much I inspire them.
I have come across so many people, who have said they always wanted to write a book but never got the guts to start.
So although I do not brag about myself, I love to hear when someone else does it.
