Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Morgan.
Hi Crystal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Greetings to you all. I am Crystal Morgan, a native of Byhalia, MS. It is my pleasure to be of service to those in need. I am a certified labor and postpartum doula as well placenta encapsulation specialist through Blooming Lotus Birthing Service. I am the owner of Ethel’s Antidotes LLC. Making all-natural alternatives has been my mission going on for a decade now.
It all started as a mission to heal myself along with family members with my simple all-natural remedies and recipes. My grandparents had a lot to do with my upbringing so old fashion remedies and simple ingredients have always been a part of my life. My 3x great-grandmother was also known for her knowledge of herbs and spices. So I can say that it is in my blood. With an open heart and ambitious and dedicated work ethic, I offer holistic remedies such as womb therapy, feminine hygiene products, immune boosters, and even blemish care products.
I service my hometown of Byhalia, MS as well as surrounding mid-south areas and even nationally. My goal is to assist in offering a safe and natural alternative to healing yourself from the inside out. What’s the saying, “Beauty starts from within?”
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Along the way, I’ve dealt with financial disparities, especially during the pandemic. Inflation has also made it a little harder for me to remain at a particular price margin as I started years ago. I am a former owner of an establishment that recently closed on Madison Ave. The Indie Artist Market. We were open going on 3 years.
We opened at the beginning of the pandemic. We were able to keep our doors open for as long as we could but the rent was just too high for 3 partners to maintain. Now, I am home-based with a great social media presence. I do greatly miss being around my team of amazing artists. But I can say I have learned so much throughout these hardships. I am resilient and grateful to still be standing to this day.
We’ve been impressed with Ethel’s Antidotes LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am very proud of my resilience and longevity. I am very motivated and I love to help others.
My more famous products would be the blemish care products as well as the infamous Snatch bar also known as my feminine hygiene bar. It’s sold in a couple of stores in Memphis and was one of the first soaps that I perfected over the past decade.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
I am currently putting the finishing touches on my new website but you can always find me on social media platforms such as (Facebook/Instagram) under Ethel’s Antidotes. I appreciate all the help that I can receive from donations, purchases as well as words of encouragement.
