Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Reid.
Hi Danielle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve worked in the Marketing and Communications industry for over 15 years with experience in multiple levels and roles.
After managing national and international marketing campaigns for some of the largest brands for companies such as Nissan, Nespresso, illy, Diego, Remy Martin, and more, I decided a person with my unique skillset and experience needed to start on a different path to TRULY be an asset to business owners and leaders.
In October of 2019, I opened my own agency, DR and Associates. In the time my agency has been in existence, we have helped start-ups and existing business owners that are serious about taking their marketing and communications to the next level with a skill-set and experience that thinks beyond Memphis for growth, expansion, and opportunity.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, not! Being a business owner and leader is hard work!
You will have people that love what you can do for them, and you will have people that hate you if you are not a pushover and if you won’t allow them to use you! You will have people that make you doubt yourself and your abilities, but you have to just keep pushing forward. I wouldn’t change a moment of any of it that I have experienced and am looking forward to continued growth.
I’ve turned losses into lessons that have helped strengthen my business, as well as learned the type of clients that truly are looking for help and not a (free) handout on someone else’s time and dollars. The right clients will trust you and will pay you without question.

We have had clients go from making $15k a year to $125k a year, as well as going from $250k a year to millions. Our goal is to help more business owners grow and see the real potential they can reach through realistic planning, feedback, and implementation.
What’s next?
We plan to continue to expand our reach beyond our offices in the Memphis, Nashville, and Atlanta, GA, areas to include Florida and Texas. We also plan to offer more classes for business owners and leaders to jump-start their brands and marketing tactics.
