Conversations with Chelsea Watford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Watford.

Chelsea Watford

Hi Chelsea, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I first learned I could sing in elementary school while walking around the house singing and my parents said I sounded good. After that, I joined the chorus. I started taking music seriously at 14 & recorded my first song Not 2 Young.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been up and down and sometimes foggy.

When I first began taking music seriously, I was still in school so it was a lot of things I had to miss out on which was hard. My previous manager and I did not see eye to eye and I felt like I didn’t have control of my direction. Which ultimately led to me taking a 4-year break.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist who specializes in rnb. I’m most proud of how I’ve progressed as an artist as far as songwriting. I believe my soft but powerful voice sets me apart from others.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
I’m open and enjoy working with other creatives. Social media is probably the best way to reach me.

Streaming my music is the best way to support it.
