Hi Detrich, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
“Our Story”
Detrich Parrish is the founder and CEO of Adspressions, Inc., a business located in Memphis, Tennessee. Parrish started the company in 1996 as Ink Images, Inc. after returning to the workforce following heart surgery. Adspressions, Inc. began as a graphic design service provider, but now offers a variety of services, including commercial printing, custom embroidery, laser engraving, promotional products, sublimation, wide format printing and a wide array of personal customizations. After desiring to grow the business further Parrish was later wed and brought on his wife Nyteria Parrish in the year of 2002 as a full-time partner in his journey of entrepreneurship. Adspressions, Inc. has since blossomed to a well recognized provider in the advertisement, graphic design, marketing and promotional products industry offering excellent service, high-quality products, and reasonable prices.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Struggles are essential tools for any business to survive, as long as you are taking notes of the downfalls, shortcomings, mistakes and imperfections of the journey. There’s going to always be a battle to face, BUT because you have learned to weather the storm makes each obstacle more and more bearable to overcome. I think on our biggest challenges is not getting the local support of family and friends from those you expect to get it from the most. It’s always a great gesture for most supports to just show their face from time to time and give nothing more than encouraging words. That’s something that will carry a lot of entrepreneurs a long way mentally. However GOD has truly equipped me with tough skin to endure it all!

This is a scripture that God has given me to help me stand on everything that I could have ever imagine to create in my entire professional life:
Colossians 1:16. ESV For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things were created through him and for him.
This has allowed me to creatively imagine and produce most of my creation through verbal communication directly from most of my clients.
How do you think about luck?
Luck for me I think is routed and directly connected Lucifer, totally the opposite of one being blessed or possibly cursed from what they believe to be true for their own self gain. Therefore we just go with the flow of believe in good things to come.
