Today we’d like to introduce you to Devin Duncan.
Hi Devin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started young. At 14 I was mainly using my talents in graphic design in different ways, and one door led to another. Before I knew it, I was running my own clothing brand. I always knew my clothing brand was just the beginning. There is still so much space for it to grow and I am committed to nurturing that, but I have also stepped into a new season where I no longer second guess myself. I trust the vision, I trust the process, and I simply release the art.
What fuels me the most right now is stepping into the role of a creative director. I enjoy shaping projects from the ground up, managing brands, and working closely in the development of artists. It gives me a different kind of energy, one that is less about following trends and more about setting a standard, telling stories through visuals, and creating experiences that stay with people. I do not like to compare myself to anyone, but I can honestly say I feel like I have entered my own Virgil era. It is about innovation, about pushing ideas forward, and about connecting things in ways that others might not fully recognize in the moment.
For me, art can only be defined by me. Sometimes that shows up in clothing and other times it is my touch woven anonymously throughout projects. At the moment I have been working heavily with my school’s fashion magazine and I am excited to see where that experience will take me. I would love to be involved in even bigger projects in my next season, but I have learned to let the process unfold naturally. In many ways I am also watching my own journey from the sidelines, taking in how far I have come while knowing there is still so much more ahead.
There are times when the work I do may not make sense right away to everyone, and I have learned that is perfectly fine. For the people it is meant for, they feel it instantly, and for the rest, time will eventually catch up. I see every project as part of a larger story, one that continues to unfold season after season, each time sharper, richer, and more refined. My growth as a designer, a director, and a storyteller is ongoing.
If you know, you know. And if you do not, you will.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest challenge has probably been the silent battles I overcome. Nothing about this journey has come smooth, no matter how I may make it appear on the outside. It hasn’t always been hard, but there have been moments where I’ve had to push through creative block, and other times where I’ve caught myself rushing the process. I get so focused on my own plans that I sometimes forget God already has my story written in stone.
Those moments have taught me the importance of patience, trust, and surrender, and I’ve found a way to take those lessons and apply them directly into my art. That’s really how the Nothing Without God collection was born. It wasn’t just about designing clothes, it was about reflecting my personal growth and the understanding that without God, nothing is possible. It also ties back to the values instilled in me from a young age, especially by my grandma, but as I’ve grown older I’ve learned how to make that relationship with Christ personal and my own.
I’ve had times where I felt like I was on top of everything and times where I felt like I was falling behind, both in my personal life and in building my brand. But what keeps me steady is knowing that as long as I submit my plans to God, He will continue to guide my steps. I was searching for perspective and found clarity.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Honestly, I’m known for a lot of different things. I guess it really depends on who you ask and how they would describe me. Some people know me for the work I’ve done behind the scenes in the music industry. Others might say it’s from party promotion or from developing different business ideas. And of course, to a lot of people, I’m known only for my clothing brand.
As much as I don’t want to be put in a box, I also can’t get too caught up in worrying about what box people will place me in. My focus is on applying all of my talents and letting the work speak for itself. I’m extremely grateful for every milestone I’ve been able to touch so far, but I always keep my mind on what’s next. I definitely take the time to appreciate the fruits of my labor, but at the same time I know I have to stay future focused. I believe God crafted me with that mindset, and it would be a disservice not to use it.
What does success mean to you?
I used to define success by numbers, whether it was how many views I got or how much I sold. At one point that was what I thought really mattered. Over time I realized those things do not always tell the full story. Now I define success by being able to leave an impact. For me, having a brand has always been about more than profit margins. It is about articulating a message and creating an outlet to express my art. Success is not just measured in numbers but in building a ladder for myself and others, making real connections, and surrounding myself with people who share their own unique stories.
What inspires me is the variety within those stories. Every brand owner I connect with brings something different to the table. Each has their own meaning, their own vision, and their own way of approaching the grind, but what we share is the same drive. That is what proves to me that art is still alive. It exists through us, around us, and takes shape in so many different forms.
I want to give a shoutout to @divergentkids, @endbry.inst, @faithuniversity.us, @vforvalore, and @xtnsn.clo. Each one of them is doing something real, and I encourage you to check them out. They remind me that this journey is about more than clothes or products. It is about the stories, the connections, and the impact we leave behind.
