Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Cooper.
Hi Dominique, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been a foodie. My mother and I loved going to restaurants old and new all over the place. If we heard a place had great food, time to hop in the car and go eat.
So my friends or family always asked me for places to go for great food. 90 percent of the time, I’m right when picking places. LOL! After delaying for months, I decided to start a food blog named ‘thepriceofwings’ this year. I’ve met so many people and ate some great food since I started.
Learned more about the restaurant business as well. Food brings people together. Doesn’t matter if you’re liberal or conservative. Great food can bring people together. I hope to do that with my blog.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Running a food blog has its days.
You got to stay up to date on things and be on your phone a lot more. Sometimes, I just want to enjoy my meal without taking 50 pictures and videos but I have to for the blog. Especially, when you have a full-time job.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work in IT services. I have 3 certifications and working on more. I can fix computers, tablets, cell phones, and laptops. Don’t ask me about your printer. Printers are disrespectful machines. LOL!
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Just do it! I’m jumping in headfirst. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help from other bloggers. Some can be rude but once you find a blogger with great advice it helps you so much. Also, keep a battery charger on deck. LOL!
