Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyla Andrews.
Hi Kyla, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my brand when I was 14, with just a dream & a makeup brush. Overtime, I developed my skill by practicing day & night. Being an entrepreneur has tested me in ways I can’t imagine. There was no blueprint & no guidance to prepare me for my journey, which I would like to think, is the most beautiful part…it’s developed me into being the goal driven, perservering, hard working woman I’ve grown into today at 21 years old.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth having, ever comes easy. Success is not guaranteed overnight, I’ve learned you don’t fail unless you quit. I will never quit, no matter what obstacles I face. Some of my struggles were self imposed & others were systematic. The blessing in all of that is learning how to navigate and use the tools that you are given to overcome obstacles.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a makeup artist based in Memphis TN. I’ve been doing makeup for about 7-8 years now. I would like to consider myself multi-skilled. I’ve worked with different celebrities over the years & even traveled the country. I pride myself for being able to bring my creativity to life in ways that others can understand. I am most known for my precise work including dramatic editorial glams, wedding glams, and natural every day glams. I take pride being a brand built off authenticity. I take pride in treating others how I would like to be treated, regardless of color, religion, or sexual preference there will always be enough love to go around to each and every client who sits in my chair.
