Conversations with Miranda Hunter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miranda Hunter.

Hi Miranda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My name is Miranda Hunter, I’m from Memphis, Tennessee. I’ve had a passion for fashion and accessories. Specifically, when it comes to eyewear as I’ve worn glasses my entire life. This passion became a business in a hotel room in the middle of Kentucky in 2018 when I decided to go all-in after wanting to start a business for some time.

My eyewear store offers a multitude of materials but specializes in acetate eyewear, which is organic, eco-friendly, more durable than your regular plastic frames, and hypoallergenic; making them great for those with sensitive skin.

I’ve developed a special place in my heart for classy and hip frames. With consistency and dedication, my business is growing continuously, and will eventually become a household name.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It is like any road; you will encounter bumps and then smooth pavement. The road to success is no different. This isn’t an easy road, but it is worth it. My efforts to gain funding and exposure for my brand have been a challenge, to say the least.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My career is heavily rooted in the fashion industry, designing eyewear for my store. Our specialty is acetate eyewear that is organic, eco-friendly, and hypoallergenic.

Additionally, our cases are made of bamboo wood, making them eco-friendly as well. This makes us stand out from the crowd as we create health-conscious products. Our most well-known clients include Algebra Blessett, Nik West, Dennis Graham, Leven Kali, and many other famous artists.

One of my greatest accomplishments has been having my eyewear featured in-store at Flying Solo NYC.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Hospitality, convenience, and food are what I like best about Memphis. Crime rates and minor activities in the city are the two most important issues that need to be addressed.
