Hi Nadja, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved documenting things in their purest form. Whether it was photography, video, or journaling – I loved cementing a memory. Once I had put away my professional camera for a few years, I started “casually” capturing videos on my iPhone of everyday life and big events. A lot of people around me went out of their way to say that I should consider this as a real job – to capture moments on my phone. It was always something I had thought of pursuing but it wasn’t until my best friend, Madeline Rose, asked me to shoot content for one of the weddings she was photographing that I heavily considered it. Her and the bride were highly impressed and over the moon with the moments and details I was able to capture – all on my iPhone! With the generosity and kindness of Madeline, she helped me take some branding photos and I officially launched Creative Capture Co last year. While my work and clientele right now is mainly weddings and brides, I also want to help other small businesses and entrepreneurs create content. Because the reality is that a lot of businesses, photographers, and entrepreneurs are doing so many amazing things but don’t have the time or capacity to capture it. That’s what I’m here for. I want to capture beautiful moments at weddings and help capture the essence of businesses and entrepreneurs. I’m very grateful for every inquiry that’s come through my inbox and I can’t wait to see what this next year has in store for me!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Trying to start your own business while also working a full time job isn’t easy. I work a remote marketing job which makes it more manageable but it still takes dedicated time and space to focus on Creative Capture Co. I’m definitely on the hunt for new businesses and expanding my reach!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My services revolve around capturing moments and events in their rawest, purest form! A lot of my work has revolved around weddings and I love that – there’s so many moments that the bride and groom will miss because they’re focused on so many other things. I’m there to capture the big moments and the small, just as intimate, moments. With the footage I deliver to the bride and groom, they get to relive all their favorite memories but also see moments shared between their guests, cocktail hour highlights, and details they didn’t get to soak in long enough. I’ve also helped photographers get BTS content of them in their craft and helping them get content to post on their page. I think what sets me apart from others is my fast turnaround time – especially with the quantity you’re getting. With my iPhone 15 pro and other tools I use to elevate the video quality, you’re getting good quality clips delivered to you within 24 hours. I also create edited videos that get delivered about 3-7 days after your wedding day. This makes it so easy and fun for couples to relive their wedding day instantly and in such a raw, authentic way! And the short clips makes it easy to share online and with friends too. A content creator is something I would want for my own wedding day too.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Surround yourself with like-minded people. Surround yourself with people who are further ahead of you and can offer wisdom. I learn so much from those around me in the creative field and have so much experience and wisdom to share! Madeline Rose being my best friend but also creative genius is the biggest blessing I could ask for. She’s shared not only so much wisdom but so many opportunities and encouragement when it comes to my business.
