Conversations with Tamara Whitted

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Whitted.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
I know it sounds cliche, but Bella Moon started from a dream. After being on my spiritual journey for almost a year, I began to get into herbalism and making natural products at home. One night I had a vivid dream that honestly scared me. To sum it up, I was surrounded by women in white telling me what my purpose was and part of that was Bella Moon. I started sharing my spiritual and herbal journey on social media. I had an old schoolmate reach out and ask me if I had any herbs to help with her intimacy issue. I whipped her up a blend and told her how to use it and to give me details the next day. The next morning I woke up to over 300 friend requests and notifications. She made a post about her explicit experience and tagged me in it. From that point on, Bella Moon blossomed.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to entrepreneurship, especially sustainable entrepreneurship, is always challenging. Bella Moon has been good to me. I have experienced working solely for my business and being able to hit sales goals easily, but I have also had moments where I seriously contemplated closing shop because I could barely afford the needed supplies. I always say that your passion is what you would do happily for free. Bella Moon is my passion, so I must remind myself to keep going.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Bella Moon Herbal Enlightenment (Bella Moon Herbals) creates herbal and natural products. I make body butter, soap, wash, tea, smokeable, and elixirs. What I am most known for is my herbal aphrodisiacs. Brace yourself, but my most notorious products are called Pussy Syrup and Throat Goat. People buy sexual enhancers anyway, so why not make them out of natural products? It’s much safer than buying a gas station pill. I am most proud of coming out of my shell and being vocal about my brand. I consider myself an extroverted introvert. Believe it or not, I used to be timid, but that does not work with the types of products I sell. What sets me apart is that my products can serve multi-purposes. For instance, I have Throat Goat customers that use the products to treat their sinus and sore throat issues. Also, I strive to create a community with my customers. They share their stories with me without fear of judgment or exposure.

So, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you before we go? How can they support you?
I love vending and doing events. I encourage people to invite me to their personal and public events. I know how to get a conversation started. Outside of my products, I offer other services, such as informational sessions on Chakra Balancing. I am open to collaboration and welcome new ideas. People can support me by following me on social media, subscribing to my website, or emailing me.
