Today we’d like to introduce you to Tavia Al-Nemer.
Hi Tavia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Easy Tiger Craft Club by making collages with my friends and coworkers in November of 2025. I organized a different craft event each month at either my mom’s, sister’s, or my house. Eventually, we outgrew living rooms so my friend connected me with the manager at Hampline Brewing. The first “official” craft club hosted by Hampline was in February, right at the tail end of the ice storm that shut down the city for a week. 30 people, my friends who started in my living room and new friends who heard about Craft Club through social media, joined me in making Valentine’s Day Collages after being cooped up for days. From there, I grew to connect with several breweries here in Memphis where I can help bring a community of crafty folks together.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’m lucky that the biggest bump along the road has been how fast I’ve grown. Im not historically known as a “type a” person, so juggling my family, my day job, and a social life while organizing and executing 5 or 6 craft events monthly is no small feat for me. Thankfully, I have the support of my husband, my sisters, my parents, and my friends to keep me afloat.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a full service mobile craft business. I plan and execute craft events at breweries, markets, retail spaces, and private events like birthday parties or girls’ nights. I bring all the supplies, inspiration, and expertise to help Memphis crafters create something they can be proud of! I think the thing that sets me apart from others is the variety I offer, and that Craft Club gives people the opportunity to try something new. I try to come up with crafts that are unexpected and very customizable. One of the things I’m most proud of is the Collaborative Tarot Deck craft I organized at Ghost River Brewing last night. Each person pulled tarot cards and created a collage based on them. Now I’m in the process of scanning each one to create a full deck that will be shipped to everyone who participated. It was really special to see how different people interpreted their cards and how they all come together to create something so unique and beautiful that could only come from that time and place.
How do you think about luck?
I would say that my good luck comes from my community and my support system. For people to see what I’m doing and want to be a part of it and share it with their friends means a lot to me.
