Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Martin.
Anthony, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Anthony Lanaire Martin.
I’m originally from Omaha, Nebraska, but I’ve lived in Memphis since 91, so I’ve been here for over 30 years. I host a podcast called Lynckup and it is a passion project of mine. We focus on current events, stories, and conversations.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I knew nothing about setting up a podcast when I first started, so I went on YouTube and asked my friend Dan some questions because he runs his wife’s podcast.
I guess the main struggle is just being consistent because there’s so much content out there that you can get lost in the sauce if you aren’t regularly posting content.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My career is in IT and that affords me to do side things like the Lynckup podcast.
I’m also starting a non-profit called Sunday’s Finest with my friends Rahul Jeevan and Mark Strausser… helping others is something I’m extremely passionate about.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Helping others and seeing my friends do well in life. There is no point in being successful if you are all alone.
