Today we’d like to introduce you to Deuna Johnson.
Hi Deuna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I was 16, I noticed my eyebrows were thinning out due to over waxing them so I went to the dollar store and got an eyebrow pencil and concealer and I did my brows every day! While at school the girls would love my brows and start asking me to do there’s.
From there I fall in love with makeup. I did it pretty much every day. When I turned 19, my mom put me and a ship told me to quit my job and take makeup seriously. From there, I have been doing makeup. I fall in love with the way it made me feel and other women feel.
I got where I’m at today by putting my name out there and finding what I do best which is natural makeup! I continue to stay down work hard and keep going to teach women the Luxury of makeup
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road I have struggled with getting my name out in the field. And a lot of personal issues along the way. Recently, I struggled with Covid and a blood clot in my lung.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
During the week, I am a Medicare agent! I’m also a full-time Makeup Artist and I will be launching my own cosmetic line soon! I specialize in Natural Glam Makeup! I will also be starting online courses for makeup this year!
What sets me apart from other makeup artists is that I only promote natural makeup, I’m the quickest makeup artist and just my love for makeup as a whole!
