Today we’d like to introduce you to Jay Lanham.
Hi Jay, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was a police officer for 23 years. I’m married with two sons and a daughter. I’ve been doing wildlife removal and prevention for eight years.
I began in this industry with a larger company. They emphasized sales to the point they wanted me to sell customers services they didn’t need. I couldn’t do business that way. So, here we are.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Changing careers was not easy. I was in law enforcement for so long, it was basically my whole identity.
One struggle is knowing when to grow your business and when to wait. I started my business in February 2020.
Covid became a real problem in March 2020. Overall, we’ve done great starting out in that situation.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business philosophy is simple- Be fair and do the best work in the industry.
Magnolia Wildlife Solutions specializes in removing nuisance animals from residential and commercial buildings AND sealing those buildings to permanently prevent animals from getting in.
My greatest achievement in this business is the integrity that we have demonstrated on a daily basis. I’m also a consumer so I know how sketchy some contractors and companies can be.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I mentioned integrity already but that really is our secret sauce.
