Daily Inspiration: Meet Levada Musé

Today we’d like to introduce you to Levada Musé

Hi Levada, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a church girl my entire life—since birth. Naturally, that meant I started singing in the church, and from there, I found myself performing at school programs and community events. My love for the stage didn’t stop at music. I said my first speech when I was just four years old, and I remember being upset that they only gave me three lines. My mom told me, “You go and say those three lines with all your might.” So I did—and I got a standing ovation. That moment ignited something in me. From then on, I dove into public speaking, winning competitions and reciting powerful works from legends like Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou.

In addition to singing and speaking, I’ve also been an artist since kindergarten. As an only child, I spent a lot of time drawing, starting with cartoons and eventually moving toward realism. Over the years, my love for art has grown, and while I’m still developing my style, I enjoy the creative process. I’ve even had the opportunity to present my artwork to celebrities like DC Young Fly, Mike D from the Screwed Up Click, Project Pat, and more.

My journey eventually led me to teaching. For seven years, I dedicated myself to inspiring the next generation, hoping to help them believe they could be somebody in life. But over time, I felt a shift—a desire for personal change. The education system had disappointed me in ways I could no longer ignore, and I knew that if I ever got the opportunity, I would step out and explore my own dreams. That opportunity finally came, and I took a break from teaching.

During that time, I made an unexpected discovery—I sound really good in a recording studio. I never stopped singing, but 2023 marked my first time actually recording music. Since then, I haven’t looked back. I’ve been blessed to collaborate with incredible artists like Boosie BadAzz, Project Pat, Highway Yella, D-Trill, and more.

At the heart of everything I do—whether teaching, speaking, writing, drawing, or singing—is the desire to inspire. I want people to know that no matter where you start, your dreams are always worth chasing. There were times when I questioned if I was making the right move, but every challenge has only pushed me closer to my purpose.

Beyond music, I’ve also stepped into the world of writing. I’m passionate about sharing my experiences and wisdom through books, creating stories and messages that uplift, empower, and resonate with others. Writing allows me to leave a lasting impact, just as music and teaching have.

Right now, I’m focused on creating more music, writing more books, honing my artistic skills, building my brand, and sharing my gift with the world. This is just the beginning!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been anything but smooth, but I believe every challenge has played a role in shaping me into the person I am today. Transitioning from teaching to pursuing my dreams full-time was a leap of faith. Leaving behind a stable career, especially one where I was so invested in my students’ futures, wasn’t easy. But I knew deep down that I had more to give in a different capacity.

One of the biggest struggles was overcoming self-doubt. When you step into a new space—whether it’s music, writing, art, or entrepreneurship—you naturally wonder if you’re good enough, if people will support you, or if you’re making the right choice. It’s easy to get caught up in comparison, especially in industries where talent is everywhere. But I had to remind myself that my journey is unique, and my voice—both literally and figuratively—deserves to be heard.

Financial instability was also a challenge. Leaving a steady paycheck to chase a dream means taking risks, sacrificing comforts, and trusting that the work you put in will eventually pay off. There were moments where I questioned if I should go back to teaching just for security, but my passion kept pulling me forward.

Another obstacle was learning the ins and outs of the music and art industries. Whether it was understanding branding, networking, or getting my work in front of the right people, it was all a learning process. But I embraced it, connected with the right mentors, and kept pushing forward.

Despite the struggles, every obstacle has fueled my determination. Challenges don’t mean stop—they mean grow. And through it all, I’ve learned that faith, perseverance, and authenticity will always carry me through.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear many creative hats, but at the core of everything I do is the power of expression—through music, writing, art, and speaking. I am a singer, songwriter, author, sketch artist, and speaker who uses my gifts to inspire, uplift, and connect with people on a deep level.

In music, I specialize in creating soulful, heartfelt sounds that blend raw emotion with storytelling. My journey in the recording studio started in 2023, and since then, I’ve been blessed to work with incredible artists like Boosie BadAzz, Project Pat, Highway Yella, D-Trill, and more. My music is a reflection of my journey—my faith, my struggles, my victories—and I aim to create songs that truly resonate with people.

As an artist, I focus on realism using color pencils. I started with cartoons as a child and have since evolved into creating more lifelike drawings. While I’m still developing my personal style, I love bringing my creativity to life through my sketches. I’ve even had the opportunity to present my artwork to celebrities like DC Young Fly, Mike D from the Screwed Up Click, Project Pat, and more.

Beyond music and art, I am also a writer. I believe words have the power to change lives, and I use my writing to inspire, educate, and encourage. Whether it’s through books, poetry, or motivational pieces, I want my words to leave an impact long after they’re read.

One of the things I am most proud of is having the courage to step out of my comfort zone and pursue my dreams. Leaving behind a stable career in teaching to embrace my passions was not easy, but I am proud of the resilience and faith that got me to this point. Every song I record, every book I write, every piece of art I create, and every stage I stand on is a testament to believing in myself and trusting the journey.

What sets me apart is my authenticity. I don’t just create for the sake of creating—I pour my heart and soul into everything I do. My experiences, my faith, and my deep-rooted love for inspiring others shape my artistry. I’ve lived the struggles, faced the doubts, and taken the risks, and through it all, I remain true to my purpose. I don’t just want to entertain—I want to impact lives.

At the end of the day, my work is about more than just music, art, or words; it’s about leaving a legacy of inspiration, faith, and empowerment. And this is just the beginning.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is of my mom keeping me up for hours, rehearsing a speech or a song. She drilled me—over and over—until I had every word, every note perfected. She never got tired of making me recite those poems and speeches, no matter how many times I had already done it. Looking back, I can’t help but laugh, but at the same time, I’m so grateful for those moments.

I say it’s my favorite childhood memory because it built me. It taught me discipline, how to study, and even how to make learning fun. Without realizing it at the time, my mom was preparing me for the life I have now. Those long nights of repetition and refinement shaped me into the performer, speaker, and artist I am today. Now, when I step in front of big-name celebrities or large audiences, I don’t feel intimidated—I feel prepared. That foundation of confidence and hard work was laid early on, and I carry it with me in every performance and every opportunity I step into.
