Hi Natasha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The journey of Nik Knacks was created out of my diagnosis of Hippo Bipolar II. Most people would feel indifferent about the diagnosis however, I was relieved.
My entire way of thinking finally made sense to me and I embraced it. I have so many different Art related talents. Growing up, I was always told to, “choose one thing, you can’t do everything.”
I now make it my mission not to box my talents. I create EVERYTHING my little heart desires! Nik Knacks is a hub of creatives, and artist who takes branding and gifting ideas to the next level! We use our natural artistic abilities to not only create you a one-of-a-kind, eye-catching product but a masterpiece!
If it can be printed on or painted, we can provide you with concepts out of this world!!! Each member of our team specializes in their own creative lanes! We pair you with an artist who is most likely to relate to your vision so that the creative process flows smoothly.
Now being a multi creator does come with hardships. When we opened our first Brick and Mortar in January 2021. We started running head first, and hit that brick wall FAST! Being a first-time founder you learn what not to do sooner than you expect. I started focusing on the dream of creating a shared pop-up space for creatives and ultimately lost myself trying to wear the title of “Boss” when all I actually wanted to do was create.
It taught me that if I am determined to do everything, then I needed to pace myself and make a plan. Conquer one goal at a time until I complete my list. I ultimately decided to close the brick-and-mortar in Dec. 2021 and went fully online. A business decision that I am so grateful I made.
Online has given me to freedom to create at my own pace. I can focus on one client at a time and not have to responsibilities of the brick and mortar hanging over me!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a woman-owned manufacturing company isn’t without obstacles. We struggle with being seen or taken seriously in a room full of established manufacturers.
We at Nik Knacks have created our own scheme for businesses that don’t fit the average mold. Our boldness and colorful outlook on life often have us in business brunches feeling like the odd man out. We fight to be in rooms that weren’t made for us to walk through.
Our business plan is so unique and out of the box we have issues securing traditional funding or support from our local business community.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in T-shirts, hats, paintings, craft kits, keychains, cups, photo jewelry, payment signs, digital art, and so much more. If it can be painted or printed we can create it!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I foresee us being a leader in our industry in 5 years!
We are a young business full of talented artist who has the sky as the limit. I see us fully back open as a brick and mortar with the shared space for artists and vendors to have a shelf space to sell their products.
We also will be leading seminars and camps on arts and crafts teaching others to share their talents.
