Daily Inspiration: Meet Rukiya Campbell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rukiya Campbell.

Hi Rukiya, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story is one that gradually gets good a few years in. After I was sure to have graduated college, obtain my Master of Arts in education, teach for nine years, and become a mommy, I started to wonder “What else I can do?” I am one to always think of the next chapter.

Being an owner/director of one of the best private preschools in the state of Tennessee has always been a thought. However, I always suppressed the thought because I felt I was doing exactly what God wanted me to be doing at the time.

In reality, God was setting my steps in order to birth One Faith Christian private preschool academy.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
We all have obstacles that we face on our journey in life.

The road to becoming the owner of One Faith was not abs still is not easy. But, God placed OFA here to help his children, and I will be sure to keep pressing forward.

On this journey, I’ve run into my becoming very ill. During my first year of operation, I was also a full-time caretaker for her. On top of being a new business owner, I was a doctoral student and a very active mommy.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a private preschool educator. I teach scholars ages 3-5 years of age.

I teach those scholars to read and enhance their ability to compute, recognize, and understand mathematical skills. I specialize in helping scholars begin their academic careers ahead. I am known for creating strong readers. I am most proud of all scholars being above grade level upon entering Kindergarten.

What sets me apart from others is the fact that I help my scholars reach beyond the surface academically. I provide, carter to an educate the entire child.

What do you think about luck?
My favorite saying is “I’m not lucky, I’m loved” by God that is. Therefore he’s equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and power to pour into his children.
