Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Harmon.

Hi Whitney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Upscale Nails officially started in 2015 after the passing of my dad, due to prostate cancer. Becoming an entrepreneur help me conquer depression, it really helped me to keep going and take my business seriously. It has always been my dream to be in the cosmetology industry be it hair or nails.

This journey of being a nail technician has been very trying but at the same right has been very rewarding. I pray for my business daily and ask God to continue to provide as he always has.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Two of the struggles along the way that I have encountered are:

1. Lack of support from family and friends as I hoped.
2. Lack of resources and business knowledge.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a licensed nail technician that provides clients with quality and luxurious nails.

I specialize in the acrylic application and nail art. My sets last anywhere from 3 weeks to 1 month.

Home of the Free shellac and gel with any service. Also, the pedicures. The ability to make clients happy. What sets you apart from others? My quality of work.

What do you think about happiness?
Things that make me happy are eating a great meal, listening to music, and spending time with the people I love.
