Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica Hart.
Hi Erica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Throughout the years, I’ve often heard the saying, “when life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” From life’s challenges and experiences, I was able to find my purpose which is to help and be of service to others. I decided in Feb of 2018 to publish my first book titled, “Bruised But Not Broken” 10 ways to heal from a broken heart God’s way.
That book alone has allowed me to meet a lot of great people such as being featured on Channel News 24’s Bluff City and Wdia with Bev Johnson Show. Through the success of that one book, I knew that I was called to do more. I went on to write two more books titled, “Let’s Connect and Stop the Disrespect” and my latest book “Unforgiveness Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.”
Mental health and depression are terrible stigmas that consume the life of many. If I could help at least one person heal the correct way, then my job is done. Since we are on the subject of helping, in 2020 when the pandemic hit, Covid was spreading rapidly, and people needed someone to disinfect their homes.
My husband presented me with the idea of starting a cleaning business. I immediately was hesitant as I have cleaned for others in the past but not on the magnitude of having and running a business. After prayer and deep consideration, I decided to go for it and named the business “Blessed by the Best Cleaning Service.” I mean, what could I possibly lose?
I announced my business on September 14, 2020, and had my first appointment two days later. Since the initial announcement of starting my business, it has done nothing but skyrocket. I have been blessed to service people in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. When you enjoy what you do, it shows. From being a self-published author to the owner of a cleaning business they both have one thing in common and that is to help make life easier for others which is my purpose.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part, yes. However, you will have down times. You have to learn about each individual customer and what they like. You also have a lack of support, which can also be discouraging. But you must always keep your own self encouraged and remember why you started.
As you know, we’re big fans of Blessed By The Best Cleaning. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am an author who specializes in publishing self-help books (www.ericalhart.com) and also own cleaning service. Not only do I clean homes but also help others to clean their hearts. Blessed by the Best Cleaning Service specializes in deep and general cleaning.
The deep cleaning package is a more thorough cleaning and most of my customers request this service once a year. The general cleaning package is more of a maintenance cleaning. Blessed by the Best Cleaning Service represents integrity and 5-star results. We are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our customers are happy.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Networking, doing your own research, and social media marketing have always worked for me. It’s free marketing, you can never go wrong with that.
