Hi Aaliyah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I launched my first business in 2019–2020. I had over 1K in sales. The name was different, and everything I sold was secondhand merchandise that resembled the trends people were interested in at the time. When my dad saw how well my business was doing, he immediately told me how much more I needed to do and how wealthy I could be.
I believed him because no one had ever told me I could do it or believed in me as much as he did. As months passed, I lost my dad, who had been my biggest supporter. Since my father passed away, I have changed my business name from “DollzxBratz Collection” to “Aaliyah Kehlani,” and I wish he were still alive to witness it.
Instead of a little business, I am now a brand. I have more dropping for my birthday on August 20 but the drop will be on August 17. I advised everybody to stay tuned because you will soon hear about The Aaliyah Kehlani Brand.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Losing my biggest supporter, & best friend (my dad) probably was the hardest still trying to make my customers happy and keep going slows me down that’s probably my only struggle. This is my passion, I dream about it so there are no other thoughts that make me not want to continue.

The Aaliyah Kehlani brand emphasizes individual worth, demonstrating that you should love and trust yourself above all else as you grow and glow. My brand specializes in fashion, designing, & styling.
What sets me apart from the rest is my brand is for the girls & boys who express themselves through their clothes, through designing & styling items that wouldn’t even normally go but we make it work for the ones that get it, get it & the ones that don’t probably won’t & that’s our motto!
