Hidden Gems: Meet Alexis Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Moore.

Hi Alexis, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In the beginning, I honestly had no idea what I wanted to do in post-secondary school. I believed in exploring options to discover what I loved since I wasn’t given a roadmap to success. I did understand that success is the only option & I did know that whatever I wanted to make happen I would because I come from a family of doers. By observation, I learned that I could do anything I set my mind to.

I earned my BS in Business Management from Christian Brother’s University finishing Magna Cum Laude with my two-year-old daughter Sydney & family by my side. While pursuing and completing my MBA in Marketing I interned in Merrill Lynch’s Marketing Program, Walgreens Business Management Program, & became certified in Tax Preparation before starting my journey with the number one multinational transportation brand in its industry.

Simultaneously my background in Business Management & Marketing positioned me to manage event promotions for major brands to create & moderate their brand’s awareness in Memphis. These brands include but are not limited to Verizon Wireless, Diageo, ESPN College GameDay, Covergirl, Soft Sheen Carson, Allstate, Pirelli Tires, AND1 Mixtape Tours, Miller-Coors, Monster Jam, DUB Car Show, & a host of other brands & events.

I also had a desire to positively influence pre-teens and teens. My avenue of accomplishing this was by teaching at a prominent modeling/etiquette school. By category modeling/etiquette schools often receive criticism. My experience actually played an integral part in my growth not only by teaching the curriculum & being booked as a commercial model & commercial actress but also by attending the sessions when I was a teen shortly after my mother passed from breast cancer.

As an instructor, I saw first hand the benefit of my instruction in my classes based in Memphis, TN, Jackson, TN & Little Rock, AR. In addition to this in the past, I’ve contributed to & hosted fashion events at The Marshall Arts Gallery, The Peabody Memphis, Memphis Central Station, Rumba Room Memphis, Memphis Fashion Week, and more.

All of my experiences have led me to curate my brand TRUE. which is growing to be a go-to brand for living in your truth in all areas of life.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While no road is ever smooth, I see my obstacles and challenges as opportunities to grow. I actually learned a lot about endurance & seeing a project thru until the end in high school, at THE Central High School. Those seeds have grown over the years to where I’m confident I can make it over any hurdles life and business bring.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TRUE functions in a few capacities right now and in time will be available for even more. The boutique side, TRUE beautique, provides clothing and accessories for professionals who love to transition effortlessly from day to evening engagements. Thru the boutique, I’m able to positively influence my market thru inspirational & motivational content on all social media outlets, through email, and in-person at my pop-up shop events.

Within TRUE’s network is also the opportunity to work on your financial truth. This includes acknowledging where you are on your financial journey and creating a strategy for you to be in a better financial position in the future. Services include tax preparation particularly for individuals & small businesses, free life insurance quick quotes & writing your life insurance policy, guiding you thru the credit restoration process, budgeting, financial literacy information, & your free overview on developing a millionaire mindset + making money while you sleep.

TRUE promotes a positive mind, body, spirit, health & fitness, financial literacy, travel, & staying TRUE to your authentic style. I’m most proud that my work positively impacts my network and my communities.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the number of people I’m able to positively influence and in turn, I’m able to see them incorporate & grow in their respective areas. My work and my being serve a greater purpose for this world and that’s what I base success on.

Success is walking in line with our purpose and sharing light and love with those we encounter for the betterment of each other and the world as a whole.
