Today we’d like to introduce you to Becca Bailey & Taylor Wassum. They share their story with us below:
Becca & Taylor met in Orlando, Florida when they both started working for the same company. Becca moved away but they maintained their friendship with yearly girls’ trips. After a few years, they both ended up relocating to Memphis to be closer to family.
After Becca worked a few months in the wedding industry she decided she wanted to open a photo booth business, and brought the idea to Taylor to see if she was interested in doing it together. They both knew that 2022 was going to be the busiest wedding year since 1984 and decided that this would be a good year to go all in. Taylor said yes and within a few months Fairytale Photo Booth was up and running!
After quickly gaining a following on social media, they began receiving many bookings and rave reviews. They are excited to grow by adding multiple different types of photo booths, props, and backdrops! With their degrees in Business and Marketing, entrepreneurial spirits, knowledge of social media, and passion for the wedding industry; these two make the perfect team!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
At first, there definitely was a learning curve regarding opening an LLC, registering for business and sales tax, and all the other nitty-gritty things that come with opening a business.
We spent hours upon hours researching the little details and figuring them out along the way. Designing the website was by far the hardest part of the process and there definitely were a few breakdowns.
Through the help of YouTube videos and website forums, we finally figured it all out!
